An exceptional single malt matured in three equally exceptional casks. Using a three cask maturation, The Dalmore The Trio is a captivating marriage of rare and exceptional casks. The liquid is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This gives its first base of soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is apportioned between first fill ex-bourbon casks, 10 year old Tawny port pipes and 30 year old Matusalem sherry casks. The three parts are then brought back together to harmonise. Taste: A rich harmony of fruit and spice—soft vanilla and honey from the whiskey’s initial ex-bourbon maturation, culminating in a full, rich, and charming single malt. Aroma: Bursting with ripe plums and berries with hints of sweet spices. Appearance: Blood orange.
